Where We Work

Lion Landscapes works in places where there is an opportunity to make a real difference in conserving populations of lions and other large carnivores while also improving human well-being.

Currently, we work in three key landscapes: Laikipia in Kenya, and Rungwa-Ruaha and Selous-Nyerere in Tanzania. Though we only operate in a relatively small area, these wider landscapes represent over 80,000km2 of vital wildlife habitat, including large protected areas, and support tens of thousands of people and important populations of large carnivores. Successful co-existence in these areas can substantially improve both conservation and livelihood outcomes.
